Bonjour Chérie,

As you know this is the end of the year and for most people they are making new years resolutions, mostly about working out and losing weight. But as i seat here i am wonder: what did i do with the year? Was it a success? Did i accomplish all that i set out to do? And with all honesty i can say: I Have No Idea!!
As a young person, i do not set out with any big goals for the year other than to get through all my classes (with all A's), and to grow a little deeper in my relationship with God. And to that Effect i would say that i have accomplished both (Praise be to God for those A's :)). But other than that, there is no big whoop-ti-do about my New Years Resolution. And you know, because i didn't have much of a resolution i don't have much to look back and say, "Yes, i have accomplished what i have set out to do!"
All this to say is: Make a New Year's Resolution, not like the world do but different. Set goals that you want to accomplish and grow both in the physical and in your spiritual like. Not just the basic "to grow deeper in God" type of resolution, because that is something we should be doing everyday of our lives. But make it something more specific. For example: If you've never received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, then make that your goal and go after God for it, seek Him for the baptism. Or, if you have not been baptised, then make that your goal, speak to your youth pastor, your pastor, your mentor or someone whom you admire and is spiritually mature but more importantly, speak to God about it and He will lead you.
On Sunday gone (12/26/10), my Pastor preached a message about "The Promise" and he was saying that God has so much for us, so may promises but we don't always received them because we ask, but still try to figure things out on our own. And that really hit home for me, because there was times when i prayed for stuff yet i was looking around at the people around me to determined whether or not this prayer will be answer. But if i say and believe that He is my provider, not Sis. Jane & Bro. Harry, but God, Jehovah Jireh, that He is my provider, my supplier, then it shouldn't matter whether or not the people around me can help me or not but that my eyes should be on Him at all times for the provision. Another thing that my pastor said, which kind of gave the the idea for this blog; he said:--> make a list of things that you want God to do for you in the new year, it don't matter how impossible it may seem because our God specialize in the impossible, but make a list and post it some where and keep praying and seeking God for it and watch Him work for you.

So I'm making my list and I'm posting it on the wall of my bedroom and i am seeking and i am delighting myself in God and i am watching Him prove Himself in this year 2011... So Join me and let's watch Him move mountains, tear down strongholds and prove Himself for us... Together!!
God Bless and Good Nite
